The FC Dallas 97 Boys have been recognized by gotsoccer.com as the # 1 ranked team in North Texas and the # 16 ranked team in the nation. Congratulations to the boys for the hard work and good play on the field.

Plano Labor Day 2008 - Champions U-12

97 boys won a highly competitive Plano Labor Day Tournament this past weekend. The boys played like champions against some very stiff competition, beating Solar 97 by one goal in a hard fought final. On the way to the final, they beat Tulsa Thunder (4-0), Mississippi Fire (6-1), and Texans South (1-0). In a grueling quarter-final game, they fought back from a one goal deficit to beat local rival Solar Red 2-1 in double overtime. A 4-0 drubbing of a strong Edmond ESC team in the early morning semi-final game set up a Labor Day Final showdown with Solar. On their way to the championship, our boys showed a great deal of toughness and character, in addition to outstanding skill, creativity and flair.
